Guangyuan-Gansu Expressway

Guangyuan-Gansu Expressway (Guangyuan to the border between Sichuan and Gansu provinces) is an important section of Lanzhou-Haikou expressway, the national highway network, and one of the grand passages to west of China. It runs through southwest and northwest of China and becomes the broad channel of Sichuan province and is a major transportation infrastructure project of restoration and reconstruction after "5.12" Wenchuan earthquake. This project, linking the Wudu-Guanzigou highway under construction in north and the Guangyan-Mianyang and Guangyan -Nanchong highways in south, connects Sichuan province with Gansu province, with a total length of 55.5 km and total estimated investment of 6.8 billion Yuan. It was constructed according to four-lane highway standard, with the subgrade width of 24.5m and the design speed of 80 km / h. This expressway covers 12 tunnels and 76 bridges with total length of 44.25 km and the occupied percentage of bridges and tunnels is up to 80%, which is the most difficult expressway project with the highest bridge and tunnel ratio in Sichuan.
